At the time I am writing this, most of us in the world are caring and praying for the citizens of Ukraine! The world have seen our troubles increase in recent years. Afghanistan and Haiti for example. One may suppose why does God allow such things. Why can’t He stop this? Is God angry? Is He giving judgment?
So many questions can flood your mind! By reading, studying, and understanding God’s Word, we can find answers and trust Him! That He loves us and only wants good for us!
The Bible clearly reveals:
Genesis 1:28, “God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over it…”
God blessed Adam and Eve, and the entire human race. God has entrusted control over the earth to mankind. We are hurting each other! We are making a mess of everything. It was never God’s will nor plan for mankind to go through heartache, wars, tragedy, death, sin, sickness, poverty! His plan was and is increase (multiply), blessing (He approved of us being prosperous). This fallen world came as a result of man’s disobedience to God! And continues to this day.
Romans 5:12,14, 12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—
14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.”
But thanks be to God, for choosing to send His Son to take away the sin of the world!!
Romans 5:19, “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.”
These scriptures are saying that in the same way that we inherited the sin nature independently of our actions, we also inherit God’s righteous nature, not based on our actions, but through the new birth. Again, we became sinners through one man’s actions (Adam), then we can also become righteous through one Man, the Lord Jesus Christ. And how can we become righteous? By receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Savior!
Revelations 13:8, “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
He came here as the Only Begotten Son to fulfill a mission, to be as a Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, to bring salvation to all!
No, God is not orchestrating calamity here and there. On the contrary, He told us to rule the earth. He knew we needed a Savior and knew we would mess up! He planned to give a way of escape through His Son!
His Redemption Plan!! It is for all, but the individual must respond. It is not automatic.
Instead of blaming God, the correct response should be “Thank you God for Jesus! No matter what happens in this world, we have a hope and a future in eternity with You!
