Household of Faith

Galatians 6:10, “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

To coin a phrase, “Charity begins at home!”

It is impossible to help with the needs of everyone in the world. Paul said, “as you have opportunity.” We must know our limitations and do what is right and in our ability to do. Doing good to everyone, even those who do not share our faith in Christ Jesus!

Matthew recorded what Jesus said in Matthew 5:45,That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”

Simply stated, God is Good to All! Whether you believe Him or not; receive His Son or not. He loves each person!

Jesus instructed His disciples to start where they were and work out to others. Acts 1:8, “you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Paul also instructed the churches of Galatia, (and this would apply to all Believer’s today), to minister especially to our brothers and sisters in the Lord!

A household is a family and Paul said, help especially our family!

A true believer in Christ, as Christians are members of the household of God.

Ephesians 2:19, Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of faith.”

The Body of Christ!
