Times Of Refreshing

To energize, restore, revive all describe refreshing!

God inspires us in His Word of His promises (all are Yes and Amen), and His covenant (to bless us)! All available in His Son, Jesus Christ!

I want to share about a promise to energize, restore, and revive us in these troubling times, straight from God Himself in Joel 2:19,25-27!

Joel 2:19, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil. And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.”

God spoke through prophets in the Old Testament. Prophet Joel prophesied about the times we are living in now. Jesus Christ had not come in Joel’s time. Therefore, he is speaking of our present times in these verses. Joel was inspired by the Spirit of the Living God. And he was speaking not just of Israel, but every Believer, who are now the people of God!

Many people don’t see the goodness of God, especially in troubling times like these. Because of pressure, of things happening in the world to shake their faith. They are asking, “Where is God?” God is right here, still on the throne, and in every Believer!

God has not forgotten us. He warned us (Matthew 24) of things coming on the earth. And told us to not be troubled in heart and mind, when we see them. Jesus is COMING BACK!! He will right every wrong! But until then, we have work to do!

God said, He will send the grain (bread), oil to cook, enough for this time. We will have plenty to do His will. We are not beggars asking the nations to give to us. Instead of borrowing we should be lending. In times of famine, wars, distress in the world, we will be satisfied!

Joel 2:28, God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh. The Holy Spirit is empowering us to preach the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To be a witness to our family, community, nations. Don’t be shaken. Read the Bible. God is telling you how things are and how they will be!

It is encouraging to know; the blessings of God are not just for when the believer gets to heaven. To know He has a plan for our lives, an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11)!

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalms 27:13
