Matthew 6:10, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Broadly speaking, the kingdom of God is the rule of an eternal, sovereign God over all the universe, Psalms 103:19, “The Lord has established His throne in heaven. And His kingdom rules overall.”
But “kingdom” more often applies to His rule in and through those who are submitted to Him. This scripture of the kingdom clearly refers to the church. Luke 17:21, “For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” The kingdom of God” more specifically referring to Christ living and ruling in our hearts. So, praying “thy kingdom come” is praying for the expansion and influence of God’s rule in the hearts of people.
Believers believe things of God start when we get to heaven, that’s not correct. Your life in the kingdom of God starts here on earth. Heaven is with you now. Heaven is backing you. Jesus brought the kingdom here. The Believers should be operating in God’s kingdom. The same thing that is happening in heaven needs to reign on the earth. Because Christ lives inside of us!
For example,
Upon visiting the U.S. Embassy in Kenya, I learned something very important! Even though, it is in another country, everything you see in that building is just like the U.S. It is an exact replica of things here in America. The same stores, mall, the land looks like America and is owned by United States. The exact same laws and standards apply when you are on that property. Workers are trained to work as an American. Even the military there, is trained American trained. But they are living in another country! It’s like stepping into America before you go there.
The believer should not be waiting to get to heaven to be in the kingdom of God. We live on the earth and are presently in this kingdom!! Just like the embassy has everything they need to operate as America, we have this provision in the kingdom of God. Because the Spirit of God and Jesus is living in the believer, we lack nothing. If something happens in America, it will be felt in the U.S. Embassy in Kenya. Because they operate in the same government!
The believer lives in this kingdom of God now and will continue until we change physical locations and go to heaven. Right now, we have all we need because there is nothing lacking in heaven. No blindness, sickness, poverty, depression.
Jesus was living in the same kingdom of heaven while living here on this earth. He did not leave the kingdom to come down here. He operated the same in healing and deliverance as it is in heaven while here!
John 5:19, 20, “19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things that He Himself does.”
Jesus in complete unity with the Father, displayed what heaven is like. Jesus said that He did whatsoever the Father does. Since Jesus never refused to heal anyone, nor ever put sickness on anyone, we can be assured that God the Father is never the source of sickness or our problems. Therefore, we can conclude also, there is no sickness, or lack in heaven.
This is why building our relationship with God is essential to experiencing the fullness of His blessings. Every believer has everything they will ever need in this life to walk in total freedom, but the problem is in our thinking! Most Christians have an unrenewed mind. What do I mean by unrenewed? According to google, “Anakainōsis, the Greek word for “renewal,” is an action NOUN, and it is in the New Testament, along with verb forms, to describe a continuing renewal, as in Romans 12:2, ‘Be ye transformed according to the renewing of your mind’.
It is vital if you are serious about living as a Christian, to change, refresh, re-think what you have heard and believe compared to the Bible. Every word is inspired by God speaking through men and women in the Bible to us today. It is a living word and if allowed, will pierce our hearts and change our philosophy of life.
This resonates in the love of God, the blessing of God, the heart of the Father. Which can be seen in the Old Testament and demonstrated in the New Testament through the Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus gave all His love by coming to the earth and going to the Cross in order that we may live and experience the fellowship and relationship with the Father.
The Apostle Paul prior to conversion, was an evil man but after giving his heart and life to Jesus, he changed his thinking. He developed a very good relationship with God. Paul learned who he was in Christ, where he was going after death, and all that was in him while he was living in this earth. Paul knew that all Jesus had was inside of him.
This is why we preach the kingdom of God which is in heaven is also in the earth right now in every believer!! Jesus brought the kingdom here. What is happening in heaven is the same thing that needs to happen on this earth. The same kingdom is reigning from heaven to the earth. Hallelujah!
If there is something missing in your life, check your relationship with God and Jesus! Renew your thinking and live like Christ in this earth!
