When sharing my faith in Jesus Christ on a job once, a lady responded she too was a Christian, but her faith was a private thing. This is opposite what Jesus teaches about God’s Kingdom! He wants His Kingdom to increase! Not to keep what we know to ourselves but to share with others!
Jesus gave us examples of how we are to operate in God’s Kingdom! He taught twelve men to be His disciples. Demonstrated to them how the Kingdom works in power and authority. Then commissioned and instructed them to go out.
Matthew 9:37,38, “Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Jesus is the Lord of the harvest! He was telling them to pray to Him for more people to do His work!
Immediately after this, He let them know they were the laborers and as He taught them, they were to teach others what He said! He sent them out!
Matthew 10:1, “And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.”
God is looking for laborers to bear more fruit in His Kingdom! To grow His Kingdom!
Luke 10:1, “After these things, the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where he Himself was about to go.”
Acts 1:15, “And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty).”
We see Jesus called twelve and that number increased to 70, 120 and beyond!
This was said about Jesus disciples,
Acts 17:6, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.”
Our world today, is certainly needing to be turned around, they are moving in the wrong direction! There are plenty of people who want and need answers and will listen if someone will speak up and stand up! It may be some hindrances at first, (the enemy will fight you) but you are victorious in God!
Any farmer knows, while it is hard work during planting season, work doubles when the harvest comes in!
The world is waiting for you! Look around, the fields are ready!
