Hell – Separation From God

I am writing this blog beloved because I do not want you to be deceived.

Someone quoted the Bible but without understanding that “Hell is a place they were willing to go if that is their destination”. Afterall, they further commented, “The Bible states most people will go there”, referencing Matthew 7:13, 14.

Matthew 7:13, 14, 13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Most people are being led the way of deception which is destruction.

Some people have a hard time believing in a literal Hell. But the Bible speaks often of Hell. And Jesus spoke frequently of Hell. According to God’s Word, Hell is a physical location created as a place of judgment for Satan and those who followed him in their rebellion against God. Revelation 20:10, The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”

LETS LOOK FURTHER INTO WHAT THE BIBLE TELLS US.

Other scriptures that reference Hell:

Matt. 5:22, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.”

Matthew 13:42, “and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 25:41, “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels.

Matt. 25:46, eternal punishment

“unquenchable fire” (Mark 9:43)

Mark 9:47-48, to be cast into hell, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, “dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

2 Peter 2:4, For if God did not spare angels when they sinned but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment.

Luke 16:19-31 (Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus).

Jesus also taught in this parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31), that there is no escape from hell once a person has been placed there (Luke 16:26). We can also learn from this parable the rich man in hell was not happy. The rich man was not having a party because others were there with him. In fact, he complained of being extremely thirsty and tormented in the flames. The rich man begged that his brother’s (who were still living) be sent Lazarus from the dead; a miracle so they would believe and not come to the same place he was. It does not matter how many people are there with you. Hell is a place of isolation, torment, and darkness.

But more than this, hell is a place of the absence of God!

Hell is a real place but was not created for human beings to suffer and be away from the presence of God! We were created to dwell on a sinless earth IN THE PRESENCE OF THE ALMIGHTY FOREVER! But it is the final destination for those who reject God’s salvation plan in His Son, Jesus Christ!

God is GOOD!

2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

What promise? The Lord Jesus is COMING BACK again! Some may say, “I have heard this all my life.” Or “This has been said for thousands of years.” But God’s ways and timing are not ours. He is coming to rapture all who believe on the name of Jesus Christ! He delays, so everyone will hear the gospel. God’s heart and will is for all to be saved.

Matthew 24:14, ‘And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

But God’s will is not always done in this fallen world. This is why Jesus prayed and teaches us to pray His will be done (Matthew 6:10). And why Jesus tells us to be witnesses to Him (Acts 1:8). And why He tells us before the end, this saving gospel of His shall be preached in every nation!

Because He loves you! Seek the Lord while He may be found. Today is the day of salvation. Tomorrow is not promised!
