Ephesians 1:21, “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”
God sent His Only Son Jesus Christ, as a gift from Him to be the Savior of the world! He came to give life and more abundantly.
John 1:12,13, 12“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name; 13who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
Whoever believes in Jesus, in His name, have the right to be called the children of God are accepted and adopted back to God through the name of Jesus! We have so many names of persons who have done great things. Some have done evil. Many are popular. After they passed away, their names are forgotten or only mentioned in history books.
The most read book in the world is the Bible. The Bible far outsells any other book, with 3.9 billion copies sold over the last 50 years!
Why, more people talk about and believe in the name of Jesus! A person who is alive! Things that were happening in the earth when Jesus was alive are still happening today. Through the name of Jesus, we are forgiven of our sins! When we receive Jesus, we receive God’s forgiveness, salvation, deliverance, healing, protection, provision! Those who call on the name of the Lord Jesus, shall be saved, (Romans 10:9,10). Not any other name!
The bible tells us in John, it is the will of God to invite you back into His family! You were lost but God came to redeem you! Receiving God only and rejecting Jesus, will profit you nothing! Jesus stands as an Advocate or as an Attorney saying, “Father forgive them, they know not what they do.” (Luke 23: 34). We have access to the Father through Jesus! God listens to the Son! Jesus was born to a virgin named Mary by the will of God! Joseph was a stepfather, but Jesus was born from God by the power of the Holy Spirit! God purposed to pass through a human to bring His Son in the world! Not of your will or might.
Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ! People focus too much on the date. Keeping in mind, the calendar is made by human understanding. The importance is exalting the name of Jesus, who is a gift of God to the whole world. For example, countries have a date of celebrating Independence or a couple may celebrate their wedding anniversary, but you may not celebrate the exact date. The event is what is significant! No need to argue about the date of 25th or not. Has no meaning. Just like, Independence days, birthdays, anniversaries, or loved ones passing, we may or may not get to honor on that specific month and day, but even around that time, we remember. Only on the 25th, it is set aside as a global holiday. As Christians, we should remember every day what Jesus has done for us!
When you are employed at a job with benefits, you learn more about what these benefits involve. The bible tells us we are daily loaded with God’s benefits, Psalms 68:19, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.” God daily lavishes us with an outpouring of His blessing! But it comes only through His Son, Jesus Christ!
We struggle needlessly! There is a way effortlessly to go through Jesus to God to receive all we need! John 14:3, 4, 3” And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4“And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
Philippians 2:9, 10, 9 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Jesus, the Name above all names!
