Jesus is the Son of God! God offered Himself by coming to earth to save our lives! To save us from our sin! Jesus came with a mission and a good plan! He presents God’s love for us!
Matthew 1:21, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
This is a prophecy that was spoken by the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, and others of Jesus being the Messiah! The Son of God! Our King, Savior, and deliverer from sin! This prophecy was fulfilled in the process of time when the Angel of the Lord appeared to a virgin named Mary regarding her conceiving a son! He was born as a normal child, but it was God Himself! The angel is telling Mary’s fiancée, Joseph to name the child Jesus! Jesus would be the Savior of His people! We know Jesus has come in that manner to save mankind! Jesus is a man that God ordained and chose from His Own Heart to come in this earth! God prepared Him with favor and with anointing!
We need to know Jesus very well! We need to know what He did for us! When you know someone well, you have confidence and belief in them! You are in relationship with that person, parents, spouse, children, or friend. Whoever this is to you! Many people do not trust Jesus, but they trust in other things more than God! Some mention Jesus but believe in other things more than Him. I want you to know Jesus more! That He is Good! To be in relationship with Him! But if you really knew more about Jesus and why God sent Him, you will have confidence toward Him! When the enemy comes up with a lie, you can know the truth!
Luke 2:21, “And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.”
It is the Jewish customs after eight days of male births, circumcision is observed, and the child is named. Jesus came to save us from our abominations, sickness, bondage, and to pay our debt! The shepherds were watching their flock when the angels appeared to them, announcing God has given a Son! Through David’s seed and through this promise that He would come as a King and lead His people in Righteousness! The Jewish people recognize that David in the Bible was a mighty king. David put fear in people’s heart because of all he did. He conquered the giant of the Palestine. David was a mighty man of God!
But God has given a Seed who is more than David! Who is King of Kings! He is the Lord! Our Savior! Jesus has conquered all the world, and the devil himself! He conquered sin, death, iniquity, sickness, and He gives forgiveness! Those who believe in Him, receives the righteousness of God and victory over sin! Without Jesus, we would all go to hell when we die! Jesus sees us to be something special that God created in this earth! Jesus gave His life for you and me! We do not have power to fight death and the devil. But Jesus is with this power because He comes from God! He fought for our sin at Calvary! He paid by going to the grave and through His death He won victory for us! Mighty people like Moses, Abraham, David, Daniel, and others, death was holding them when they died. Jesus went to the cross to forgive our sin and to the grave to conquer it. When God rose Him from the dead, all believer’s rose with Him!
Romans 10:9, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
This is something you need to be glad for! Something you need to be joyful about! Death is scary to every individual. No one wants to die. Death takes whomever. Someone like Hitler, who shook the world, surrendered to death easily. Doesn’t matter who you are. Good or bad! Death will just come to your door. You don’t have power to stop it nor wake up from it!
Jesus came with a purpose! The sin that made death come to your door, He conquered in 3 days! Jesus is alive! Death could not hold Him! He went to the empire of the devil himself. When God kicked the devil out from heaven, he stole the key to death to hold people, and ran to the earth. He locked people down there. Jesus received in His resurrection the keys of hell and death! Jesus kicked the devil out!
Matthew 28:18, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.”
The believer has power and authority! The enemy has nothing for a born-again believer! You are shaking for something that is very small. You are scared about death as a believer? Why? We have a mighty King who is Jesus Christ, the Messiah! We need to have joy in our heart even when we come to that scary moment. Death cannot hold us or bound us.
One of our nieces, when she was just 3 years old, responded about something that was causing fear in her. She said, “Why am I scared? I don’t know why I’m scared? There is no reason to be scared.” It was awesome to see her shake that fear off and proclaim boldness! She determined to conquer that fear and overcame it, even to this day. She is now 5! It blesses me to tell that testimony! (smile).
I Corinthians 15:55, “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
We are living forever because of Jesus! We do not die but sleep. Jesus was whipped; then He was nailed on the Cross, nothing you have went through compares to what He suffered! He bore every person’s sin in His body! Jesus forgave! A sinless God! He said, Luke 23:34, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Jesus forgave all the sin of mankind! People are against God and His Word. Still forgiveness is here! Your sin is already forgiven. Jesus died for your sin!
In all things, Jesus is good and does good! He only does what is right! Most kings are not ruling in righteousness. There is corruption in some degree. Jesus is reigning wisely with wisdom and knowledge. Jesus did not do wrong to anyone in this earth! He is still doing good up until this moment! He heals you freely without payment or insurance! He raises people from the dead! What payment can the dead give? They are already dead! (smile).
But because of His love for you and me, He has done all this! Jeremiah 23: 5,6, Jeremiah prophesies to Israel that the day will come that Jesus will be a branch in the seed (descendants) of the tree of David. When Jesus is reigning in your life, prosperity occurs! When you see people who are trusting Jesus, they are prospering from the inside out! They have the peace of God! They see the goodness of God in their life! Their minds are focused on Him! He keeps them in perfect peace! He has conquered the spirit of lack and poverty out of your life! And Jesus judges righteously. He does not favor but give you what you have done and deserve!
People are struggling and in a mess! The world has no peace and in chaos! Nations are sitting together, calculating, wondering what to do. Climate change and viruses; the world is shaken. The poor are struggling how will they eat, live, or feed their children. I have good news for you! Jesus of Nazareth, the King has a good plan!
Right now, we hear what is going on in Jerusalem. Jesus is coming to be the King of the Jews. The Judah family will be rejoicing. The Jewish people did not understand that Jesus was their Messiah. Up until this moment, mostly reject Him. God has not forsaken nor forgotten Israel! God still loves and is fighting for Israel! He has not changed His mind about Israel! No one will fight Israel and win! No body! Even if the world unites together to fight them, Israel will win! In the Second Coming of the Lord, Jerusalem will be a capital city of the whole world! Jesus will be a King, whether you like or not! Whether you believe or not, the King of Kings will be on the throne!
He will not come the second time as a sheep, a lamb. But as a King, a lion, with the whole armies of heaven! He will dwell and rule from Jerusalem. In the city of David. No one will take Him out! He will finalize everything! Philippians 2:10,11, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
The world is planning for antichrist. Antichrist is NOT Christ! That’s a false prophet and is coming to lie to the world. He will try but his time is very short. Christ Himself is coming by the glory of God! Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”
Jesus has come to bless us. The name of Jesus is not a curse word! Jesus Christ is coming to take us out of this world and set us free! Are you ready?
