Book of Psalms, Chapter 34, David was singing songs how he trusted God! God was performing mighty things in the hand of David because of his trust! God has called you and you need to know how to trust God in everything! You trust God because the calling and task before you is not an easy work! You cannot do it by yourself.
We have so many examples of testimonies in the Bible who God has called and sent. Abraham trusted God (Genesis 12:1-3). God told Abraham to leave his own country and people and his father’s house! God calls people and sends them just as He called Abraham! God called Abraham to leave his family, friends, and everything familiar! Familiarity will keep you from moving because of being too comfortable. When God is speaking to you, He is not speaking to those around you. They cannot hear what He is telling you to do. God is calling you as an individual and He will give detailed guidance on what to do! We read in Genesis 12:3, God is bringing Jesus into this promise! Through Abraham’s descendants, all who have received the Savior Jesus Christ is one family in Christ! Today, the name of Abraham is great and well known! All who believe in Jesus Christ, share the blessings of Abraham! Even those who are Gentiles (non-Jewish)! God has brought all Believer’s as one family! God has given you a promise to do something. To go somewhere. To give God chance to work through you! We need to be like Abraham, take a step of faith and move out!
There is much concerns about shelter and provision when you move out! Abraham did not know anybody but the Lord God! He did not have an invitation from another country. God has called each of us to go for His work and purposes!
Another example, Joseph (Genesis 41:16-25), who was sold to be a slave by his brothers. We can be sure; it was a hard time for Joseph. He did not know his destiny. He was sold to the governor of Pharoah as a slave. Joseph trusted God no matter what hardship and challenges. Don’t expect people close to you to always be supportive in your calling! Don’t worry, God will pass you through and fulfill His promises to you! God told Joseph in a dream his future but afterwards, he became a slave. He even wound up in prison. It may have been hard for Joseph to see the dream coming to pass! But God did not forget him! Instead of dreaming now, God used Joseph to interpret dreams. He promoted Joseph to another level, and this is how the victory came for him! When we remain only dreaming without interpretation, we cannot understand what God wants us to do. Pharoah had a dream that needed interpreting God used Joseph. This delivered Joseph from the prison to victory!
I was so blessed to read in Genesis 41:25, where Joseph gave glory to the Lord! Joseph knew he could not interpret the dream without God! You cannot make your dreams come true! You have to trust God to bring it to pass! You cannot do by yourself. Trust God to take you where He wants you to go. It can be difficult walking by faith, for people walk away from you. Promises of prayers, giving financially even until the last minute, you may see no one. Email is zero. Bank account is low. Nothing in the mail. You try to call, but no one answering! Continue standing and have faith in God! Trust God! He will take you where He has promised you! God doesn’t need the people who walk away from you. Continue to take steps and confess what God has said! He will bring it to pass! God is faithful and will never leave nor forsake us. Another word is to abandon. He will not desert you but be your number one supporter!
Yet another great testimony, God showed Himself to Moses in a dry land! He will do the same for each of us. He will lead and guide us! It may take a long time for the vision to be evident but continue trusting God. It may take long for things to be established but continue to believe God! Whether in your finances, marriage, or ministry, if you trust God, things will be ok. You will enjoy your marriage again! You will see financial breakthrough! Your ministry will begin to flourish, even when you see people start walking out the door because of what you are teaching. They may not like the vision of the construction of the church building. It may be a burden to them, trust God! God will establish you!
Matthew 6:1, we need to work for God not for people! Don’t wait for people to praise you! It is God who will perform His purposes! The glory of God will be manifested in our lives! The same God who gave Abraham the land, his descendants are today still in that land God promised! The same God who promised Abraham, all believer’s are in that family! God is still on your side! Even when your finances are low, God has said, He will be with you until the last day!
Matthew 6:26, look at the birds! They know everything will be okay. They just trust God to feed them. They are not worried about anything! They wake up early in the morning before human beings and are happy! They are singing and praising God and they know He will provide! The wrong mentality is that God is not doing anything, or you have to be poor to be a Christian. God is not telling us these things. God is not telling us to be idle when we get saved. We are not to just sit and wait for God! We have something to do. To do His will! We need to be busy! The harvest is plentiful!
God is encouraging us in His Word, to not surrender, not give up! Press on in your faith and you will see things start working!
