All Things Made New
Revelations 21:1-7
21, “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”
I just recently lost my mother. I will miss her a lot as I still miss my dad, who passed away over 12 years now, whom both are with the Lord!
Death or the departure of a loved one, especially a parent, child, or spouse is something no one can emphasize unless you experience it. Sympathizing by giving love and support is always a blessing! The reality hits your loved one will no longer walk through the door or hear their voice is sobering. The finality of it all can be overwhelming UNLESS!
God Himself has promised to one day wipe away all tears from our eyes! That there will be a NEW HEAVEN and a NEW EARTH! He will be our God. That we will dwell with Him FOREVER! Revelations 22:5
We, as Believers, have this hope and not only a hope but an assurance straight from the mouth of God Himself – He has promised!
What a reunion! All those who placed their faith in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be reunited together! Forever to dwell together with the Lord! We have this assurance, there will be no pain, no sickness, no death (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)! We will have new bodies (1 Corinthians 15:51-53) that will have no limits to where we can go on the earth, universe or heaven! Wow, we can only imagine!
Therefore, we as believers rejoice in God making all things new. This present world will pass away, with all its darkness, sin, sickness and such. We have so much to look forward to and praise the Lord for!
HEALING OF THE NATIONS
The River of Life
22 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.” Ezekiel 47:6-12
(My Beliefs)
To me according to Revelations 21:1, there will be no more sea. Ezekiel 47 references the bank of the river, tree of life, water flowing from the sanctuary, fruit for food, and leaves for medicine.
Revelations 22 declares the throne of God and of the Lamb will give a pure river of water of life. This life is from Jesus Christ! Jesus is Our Healer, Our Light, The Bread of Heaven, that believing in Him out of your heart will flow rivers of living water! Everything we need is in Jesus!
While we wait for that day, let us be busy to warn of judgment of God of those who do not believe, to exhort, and encourage others of the glory that shall be revealed in those who do believe in Jesus Christ!
When I feel the saddest is when I focus on the absence of my mom. But refocusing looking upward envisioning her no longer in her body of struggles but knowing she’s in heaven perfectly at peace and no longer in pain, my tears dry up!
Lastly, I remember how first hearing of her passing, amid my tears and sorrow seeing my mother gone, the Lord Jesus spoke so sweetly, “Why are you weeping, she is with me!”
John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation But Be Of Good Cheer, I have overcome the world.”
