Responding To The Call of God

In God’s calling, He gives a commission! God gives us something to do. A work to be done according to our calling. This work is to GO, “Come and follow Me.” You are missionaries. Missionaries are people who He sends to bring a message of the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! God Himself was a Missionary! The One who left heaven and sent His own Son Jesus. Jesus is God Himself sent from heaven to the earth. To tell us the Good News, that we have the chance to become children of God!

Our sin is forgiven because Jesus came! As a missionary, Jesus duty was to reach the lost souls who were the human race. None were doing good. None were seeking God! There were people who followed God. The Bible does not record they were good, but God recognized them. They walked with God! The Bible does tell us we are all sinners born in sin nature. So even though, some walked with God, they could not go to heaven because they still had the sin nature. The nature of sin was hindering people to meet God. So, Jesus came to bring reconciliation between God and man! This is why we have access because the doors were open to us as people now to God! Through Jesus (Ephesians 1:3) the born again is seated in heavenly places. Unless one missionary, Jesus, decided to leave heaven and come to the earth.

It is not that we love God and made God come to earth. God loves us! Through this love, it makes God to come down. John 4:10,11, “Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. The woman said to Him, Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?”

This Samaritan woman was not a good lady. In that city she was recognized to be an evil lady. Many women hated her, and no one wanted to be closer to her because if you become closer your man would be gone. In her life, she had many men, and those men were not for her. But she was still looking to get another man. That was the day she met a man named Jesus Christ. She was not aware she was meeting God who could transform her behavior to become a blessing for the gospel. Their conversation started with the woman needed water. Jesus uses natural things to convey a heavenly message to bring into our lives. Here Jesus is bringing the need for water. Somebody is thirsty. He told her if she knew that He was the living water. 1 John 4:10, 11, “In this is love not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atonement for our sins. Beloved, If God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

What made God to come from heaven is because He loves us so much! We did not love God, no not one person. He stayed with us and showed us that love while we were still sinners and doing wrong. We were away from Him, but God came back looking for us! God wants us to also love each other! He demonstrated what love is by giving His life for other people! If we were to love other people like Jesus loves us, the things we experience in this earth would not be here. We are not giving ourselves and practicing this love. Even, we cannot go to the commission that the Lord sends us unless we come to love the people! Because when Jesus tells us to go all over the world, some areas in this world that don’t have the lifestyle you are accustomed to, is like a jungle, but people live there. It is like a desert, but people are there. There is a society there, human beings. What would make you to go there, leave your comfortable life is the love of God! Other than that, you cannot be a missionary because you would count their living (how they do things, what they eat, where they stay). But this is their life. If Jesus could count what this world looks like and how the heaven is, He would not have left heaven and come to us. Our world (sickness, problems, hatred, starving, death, poverty, sin, shedding of blood) is like a jungle compared to what heaven must be like. But God left a place like heaven, where death, sickness, poverty, crime, sin is not there! Nothing lacking there! John 3:16!

Through this love, God sends His Son and says you just go for them! Break that power of sin! Break that hindrance which kept them from being closer! God created human beings to fellowship with and come to the earth and communicate with! In His creation from the first day, He said was, “good.” But it pleased God more when He created a man in His own image! The enemy brought sin to hinder our fellowship with God. God had to keep a distance!

We cannot come out of this sin by ourselves. By our own strength and understanding. It cost God Himself! Genesis 3:7, 8, when Adam and Eve sinned, they tried to help themselves. To cover their sin, nakedness with leaves but when they tried, they still see they are naked. Until God came from heaven to tell us our sin cannot be covered by leaves or anything but the blood of His Son! Not blood of animal sacrifices but Jesus willingly came in the likeness of man, who had fallen to forgive sin!

Who is willing to go to China, India, North Korea, or wherever God leads. These places and others have no freedom of worship. You may be imprisoned or killed. Who will go? The heaviness of the price was more than the commission. The price was to die. The commission is to go! You know you will die. Who wants to die? Why did Jesus come? The answer is God loves us so much! No one forced Jesus! The same with us, when Jesus sends us, we need to go willingly. No one will force you! Many have heard the call and told God they did not want to go. Yes, you can tell God you don’t want. You will use your own money for your call whether people support you or not. If you have love of God in you, you will sacrifice to go. God and people will call you a missionary. A missionary is agreeing with the call willingly! Many have died! The Apostle Paul was advised not to go to Jerusalem, but he said it was good for him! If we love God, we must also love people. The love will make you give to someone you don’t even know. Even when they don’t care about you nor say ‘thank you.’ How many people have not told God thank you for sending Jesus? Countless, this does not mean God does not love them.

Jesus was giving love to the Samaritan woman and she come to realize she was wrong. She drew a whole city to come to Jesus so He can preach the gospel to them! Love is the only thing that will change the world and make people do the will of God! The Bible says if the love of God is not in you, you will do nothing. You think about yourself. The love of God will break that selfishness. More people do not want to share the gospel to nobody. If they have a relationship with God, they only care about that. If Jesus came like that, no one would be saved! God counted us as lost sheep, wandering.

When Jesus came, no one knew Him. He tells people, if you see Him, you see God! People were living without God in their lives but from time of Jesus, we have God! That relationship comes back again! It is just for us to ask Jesus to come into your heart and you will have God! Does not cost us anything, but to accept this free gift! Jesus will come in your life and start directing you with the love of God! When you receive Jesus, you will be like God. In His own image without sin nature! Just as in the beginning! You live like God. You walk like God. You do things like God, because of the love! When we see sick people, our hearts are filled with compassion. We want them to get out of that bed. This is God in us! When you see poor people, your heart is to get them out of that poverty. To bless them! When you share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it has power to bring healing, restoration, and to go another level in living! You’re sharing the love of God! God did not create us to be sick, poor, or struggling. God created us to stay in this earth and enjoy His blessings! Our own way comes with consequences. Comes with a punishment because you cannot stay by your own. You need God in your life! We were created to live for Him not for our own.

When we have Jesus, we have everything, eternal life and come back to be like God! John 14:7, “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”  If you know Jesus, then you know God. Jesus came to the world to be a missionary to the lost. You and me. The commission is to do the same as He did. Jesus said to do this work until I come back! That’s the challenge. Go to the lost! To bring them to the love of God. The message is, “God loves you!” Our business is not to tell them about their sin, or how they look. Our business is to tell them about the love of God! God loves you in the situation you’re in. In the poor life you stay in. In the sickness you are in. In your blindness or deafness. Through this love, if you receive, He will open your eyes, mouth, heal your sickness! Do you want Him? You will get one promise, ETERNAL LIFE! God cannot come against His promise! If you don’t love Him, you’re not the first one. God is not mad! God still loves you! There is still a chance for you! He wants us to be in heaven with Him forever! God did not create us to struggle!

What is your response? God is still on the seat of mercy, forgiveness, love, and grace! There is still time!
