The Blessings of the Lord Makes Rich and Adds No Sorrow With It!

The blessings of God do not accompany curses! If God has blessed you, you are blessed! This does not mean, however, you will not pass-through challenges! Challenges are a part of this life (we live in a fallen world), but you are nevertheless blessed! The challenges cannot prevent God’s blessings!

The children of Israel’s testimony in the bible, even while enslaved in Egypt, where blessed by God! God did not curse them. In their bondage, they suffered a lot and worked hard for a long time, but they were blessed by God! God did not curse them to suffer in Egypt. God came to save them. In the wilderness, they were still blessed!

We pass through trials and difficult times, but it does not mean we are not blessed! God is with us! But God is looking how we handle these tough times. The enemy of God is still here and accuses us day and night. People don’t see the enemy when they are complaining. The complaints are: “Why is this happening,” “Where is God,” “Why did I lose my father, child, mother, spouse?” They may say, “I’m serving God, I’m faithful, I’m tithing, why did this happen?” The book of Isaiah tells us when trouble comes, God is not the one causing it!

Many people can curse us, but if God blesses us, it is very important!

We complain and murmur a lot! The Psalmist, David, wrote about it.

Psalms 109:26-29 Help me, Lord my God;
    save me according to your unfailing love.
27 Let them know that it is your hand,
    that you, Lord, have done it.
28 While they curse, may you bless;
    may those who attack me be put to shame,
    but may your servant rejoice.
29 May my accusers be clothed with disgrace
    and wrapped in shame as in a cloak. NIV

How will you react in the tough times because this is the time people want to walk away from you.

Children of Israel walked through the desert with harmful animals there. God fed them and protected them against scorpions and everything that lives there. They did not have a house to sleep in. They were sleeping in the desert all night long with the animals walking at night. They were not bitten but were asleep. They did not appreciate God. Just mostly complained.

Most people God has blessed you, but we don’t take time to say thank you God! We don’t see that we are blessed. But we are blessed! We have everything! We lack nothing! We can have good houses, cars, money in the bank but a little bit of challenges come in our lives, we immediately complain. We need to learn to appreciate God! We need to celebrate God, give God thanks for what He is doing! It is not our own might or power but His power! God stands right beside the need we have to save us against all who condemn us. Our God is here to help us! He is fighting for us and protecting us!

Even your situation may not be good right now but thank God for passing you through the situation! You are confident this will change because God is your help! This pleases God! Declaring, “I am passing through the lack,” “I’m not a victim but a Victor,” “I’m going to pass through sickness,” “I’m going to pass through this sorrow.” “I thank you for helping and strengthening me!” God will bless you even more because you are thanking Him with your mouth!

We read how the prophet Isaiah, complained a lot about the King at that time. Isaiah was murmuring how the King was bringing idols; how the King was wrong. How the country was not good, and that God was going to punish people. God did not like this! Isaiah was a great prophet, but in all this failed to see God’s goodness in the situation. God burned his mouth because of all the complaining. When Isaiah stopped complaining after the king died, he sees God and God tells him he could not see Him prior because of all the complaints. God told Isaiah yes, the king was wrong, but it was not his duty to complain. Isaiah was to serve God, thank God in the situation and let God take care of the problems. God alone, has the power to rectify the situation.

We know, things don’t always work well as we would like but in all these tough times, it makes us trust God more! When we trust God more, we pass through the situation and see breakthrough and in the middle of nowhere we see God! God will reveal Himself! God wants you to praise Him and give Him Glory. To have an attitude of gratitude.

People may think you are finished and walk away from you! They don’t want to share your shame. In the middle of nowhere, tough times, you thank God, you will see Him! Everyone around you will undoubtedly also see Him fight for you, especially those who walked away. God will get the Glory! God is Faithful! He will make a way where it seems to be no way!
