John 8:32, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (NKJV)
There is a lot of fear in people. It did not start with the pandemic but was rooted in us from childhood. Slowly, the enemy advances his agenda in our lives unknowingly until God opens our eyes to be spiritually enlightened!
This is contradictory to the common belief among believers and non-believers that God is controlling everything and everybody. The fact that you can make your own choices, good or bad, is indication God is not controlling your life. Rather He leads us like a loving Father to know the truth and helps us to walk out our lives victoriously! A good parent sees their child going in the wrong direction, making unwise choices, associating with the wrong crowd, and yearns to help them. That child may receive your guidance. Others, scoff but this doesn’t prevent some parents finding ways to turn them around. The point is you can’t force them. Neither is God controlling you, your child, nor the situation. By God’s own will, He cannot force us to listen to Him!
When we know God’s Word, study God’s Word, and apply God’s Word, our hearts can be at peace that God has provided everything we need to be confident in times like these!
There are many people and world leaders anxious on the subject of global climate changing. With “increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases (such as carbon monoxide) in the atmosphere or “changes to precipitation patterns and sea level are likely to have great human impact.”
God has given the earth to humans, and we should be good stewards! We all should do our part to take care of our world to the best of our abilities! Such as reducing pollution when possible. But some things are out of our control.
WHAT DOES GOD’S WORD SAY ABOUT THE WEATHER AND CLIMATE?
Just as in relationships, God is not controlling the weather! With so many devastating storms and disastrous tornadoes, floods and other happenings, many people have asked, “Is God behind it?” The answer is, No!
Jesus said in John 10:10: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (NKJV).
God is not the author of disaster! The enemy’s main goal is to destroy lives and to kill. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to save lives!
Before Christ, in the times of Noah, “the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” God judged the world and brought a flood to destroy mankind and all living creatures off the earth. In His mercy and grace, He chose to establish a covenant with Noah and mankind.
Genesis 9:11, “Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
Genesis 9:14,15, “It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.
Jesus came from heaven to show us the way! Demonstrating how the Kingdom of God works!
USE YOUR AUTHORITY TO SUBDUE THE WEATHER!
Mark 4:39, “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” (NKJV)
Jesus taught His disciples when a storm arises, they had authority over it to rebuke (correct) the wind and to speak to the sea to be still! Jesus commissioned His disciples before returning to heaven to make other disciples and to teach them to do the same!
You don’t have to say, “whatever will be will be.” No, the believer has power and authority over the elements! You hear of a tornado warning or flood watch, don’t wait, begin taking authority in Jesus Name! This is what we practice often in our lives! All creation obeys that Name!
GOD’S WORD TELLS US HOW THE WORLD WILL END UP!
Again, some things are out of our control. The end times and the Lord’s return will just happen as God says! God has warned of succession of events in the heavenlies and earth where we will know it is near the end! Luke 21:11, “And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines, and pestilences and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” (NKJV) This heaven mentioned here is not from the throne of God but from the heavenlies (skies).
Also, the Bible tells us clearly creation itself groans like a woman in childbirth until the child is born. Creation is groaning to be made right again in the same way as before the fall of man! Romans 8:19-23, “For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now…” (NKJV)
GOD IS PREPARING A NEW HOME FOR THE CHURCH!
In the book of Revelation 21:1-4, “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. 2 Then I John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
God is preparing a new heaven and a new earth! The old earth we are struggling in, working by sweat, earthquakes, floods, in pain needing healing, crying for losing beloved ones, the bible is telling us these things will pass away and we will never see struggles again! No one will be crying! Jesus is leading us there, where His Father is! God Himself is coming in His glory to dwell with us! God is preparing a place for us! Like a bridegroom prepares herself, the believer’s need to be preparing ourselves to meet Him!
But until this time, we are to be about our Father’s business! Demonstrate the Kingdom of God!
